Cipollini onions?

They seem to be getting very popular is seed catalogues here, does anyone have any experience with them. Seems to be a few diffeernt types. Red, white and yellow.

I bought some white ones  today in a green grocers.. planting them, I wonder if they will grow and give me seeds.

Yeah I've grown them before, very good pickling onions, growing Borettana this year....
