Scented Geranium 'Queen of lemon' & 'Prince of Orange'

hi

anyone got any experience of growing these the sound like just the trick for my front garden (hebes defiantly dead).

Need to survive in full sun.

my hebe's died, too, Cam..Emaggie grows lots of different geraniums, she might know them..hope Harriet's doing well, she looks like a bundle of fun in your photos  :)

These geraniums are tender, leaves smell lovely but they are tender.

Cut your Hebes down to ground level, they may reshoot from the base.

scented geraniums are usually not hardy enough to stay outside in the winter.But as they release their perfume by touch, they are just the job each side of the front door in pots and taken in when it starts getting cold. I have tartar of roses by the front door and a menthal scented one at the back, As they are big pots I cut them down in the autumn and cover with straw until they start shooting again.

But as you are possibly the only person in the world that has ever killed a Hebe, perhaps you should take up another hobby ;D

No, count me in, I've killed loads of hebes. My theory is that my soil is too heavy for them, as I keep dahlia tubers in the soil and they don't die.  

PS My mother has loads of scented-leaved geraniums, she grows them indoors on windowsills, they are only any good for outside in summer - they are really pelargoniums and definitely tender.

Dahlias as above??
