Does anyone have any seed for 'named' varieties of Rhubarb, who'd like to swap for Tomato or Chilli seeds??

eg. Timperley Early, Holstein Blood Red etc, etc.

Was going to suggest you ask for a division rather than seed, then I saw where you are! However, assuming rhubarb is grown in Oz, there's usually someone who's dividing a plant at this time of year and will hapily give you a chunk.

Thank you Caroline. I do have some growing, but I'm after some different varieties to what I can get here. If anyone has any and they don't want to post direct, they would only need to post it to Lancashire as I have a relative who can send to me.

I've got some Victoria seed, interested in odd tomatoes we don't see over here like Berkeley Tie-Dye and Mortgage Lifter (or indeed any other biggies)... I can spare 15 seeds easily enough :-)

I'm keen to get some seeds for Timperley Early, but may have to look at eBay to get them.

I don't grow Berkeley Tie-Dye or Mortgage Lifter Tomatoes, but tend to grow more of the European types, plus I have a few of my own varieties I'm currently growing and hope to get them stable in the future.

I'm still looking for Rhubarb seeds for named varieties 'other than' Victoria, Glaskin's Perpetual and Sydney Crimson as I can get these here, so I'm listing my trade items.

Speckled Roman tomato
Totem tomato
Paradicsom tomato (Hungary)
Konig Humbert tomato
Grosse Lisse tomato

Turkish Cappia Pepper
Corno di Toro Pepper
Long Cayenne Chilli
Gogosari Pepper (Romania)

Do a swap and make your own selections, one or all. (Tomatoes 10 seeds & Peppers 20 seeds)

I'll do two trades only.

Chiltern Seeds have Champagne and Glaskins Perpetual, but that's the best I can find from commercial suppliers.

Apart from Victoria, early red and Glaskins there is not much availability of rhubarb seed here even on Ebay, Seeds of Italy have one called Commune.  I have been looking for sometime.

Robinson's have Timperley Early, Champagne, Raspberry Red and Victoria.

Digeroo

Robinsons ones are crowns rather than seeds.  The problem would be the cost of shipping to Australia and their very strict plant hygiene regulations.  My guess is they would end up in a border control incinerator.

I have obtained a few seeds for a variety I didn't have, but I will leave this offer open if anyone wants to do a swap at any time in the future.
