have been volunteered to help redo local primary shool garden(all voluntarily run),its going to be an edible plant theme.so thought herbs would be a good base as most are available all year round without too much intervention.

Whereabouts are you? I can rustle up some rosemary and winter savoury plants easily enough...  :)

pigeonseed

I think herbs are a very good idea. Very low maintenance and fragrant.

I was going to offer rosemary cuttings as well. And I might be able to divide chives and mint (yuck just thinking about those two flavours together  :-X)

I don't need any seeds, so just give them to whoever needs them. I'm happy to send cuttings. Not sure which time of year it's best to do it.

Let me know if you would find the above useful.

Oh and I have parsley seeds as well - but being biennial, that's a little bit more work than woody herbs, isn't it?

manicscousers

if you can wait a little while, I think I have cotton lavender, chocolate mint and pineapple mint, can't fit in any more seeds so, no swapsies necessary, oh, yes, i also have garlic chives but, as they are inside, I'm not sure how hardy they are  :)

any herbs are more than grateful,my little girl has just started at the school and anything i can do to help them is really appreciated by them, and then me to anyone who would like to help.
i'm a firm believer  in what goes around comes around.
