What did your allotment/garden provide for the Christmas Dinner?

O.K. here we go.
butternut squash, cabbage, carrots, parsnips, swede, brussel sprouts, onions, leeks, potatoes, turnips, salsify, cauliflower, broccoli, runner beans and broad beans. (yes the last two did come from the freezer.)

And have to last until the new year.

Then there was pickles from the plot. beetroot, red cabbage, onions, green tomato chutney, and piccollie.

Shame we cant keep turkeys on our plots.  ;)

Froglegs

I went down the plot after work on Xmas eve with me hammer n chisel to get sprouts,carrots,parsnips, and cabbage,sadly we had to buy the spuds run out of the home grow a few weeks a go, and as we don't like Xmas pud we had apple pie n cream made with my own bramleys for afters,all washed down with my own made sloe vodka.

desiree poatoes, roasted with parsnips, butternut squash, celeriac and onions, mashed swede and carrots, savoy cabbage and sprouts, everything but the carrots came from the plot , first time we've managed it all  ;D

artichoke

Potatoes. Had to buy everything else as could not get into the ground.

Also frozen fruit sauce for putting on bought icecream: mixed rasps, blackcurrants, blackberries, strawberries, all mixed in with sugar around June/July.

I just love egg and chips, in fact I just love chips. Christmas dinner came from Morrisons, but will dig deep into the freezer.  Really must remember to label things.  New Year resolution, and must not put spagetti bolognese in ice cream cartons again, not very good for afters. Still got blackberries, and something red, might be rhubard, will find out when it defrosts.
