Yes, every single shed broken into this afternoon.  Doors wrenched off, windows broken...no crops damaged, and the only stuff that seems to have been taken was from our (mpdjulie & mine's) shed - a saw, toolbox & staple gun.  Could have been alot worse I guess.  Police were sympathetic, but what can they do?  I'm not pee'd off...I'm bloody angry.  First time it's happened since we've been there (3 years).

I've replaced our and a neighbour's glass tonight (had some the right size lying around) and am planning to pop over the site at odd times in the day during the kid's holidays, just on the off chance of catching someone.  I work for myself as a designer, and I'm 2 minutes from the site - it'll be interesting if I do catch someone 'at it'; I'm a 6'2" ex county sprinter with a black belt in full contact karate....let's hope they came prepared  ;)

As long as you don't use 'unreasonable force'. It really gets to you when it keeps happening.

we have just suffered 4 spates of mindless vandalism in 12 days,i couldnt be bothered to post here as was too depressed and angry, but heres what I did to combat the swines, hope it helps you and I have evry sympathy!
called an EGM for members to meet/winge/come together as a plot
bombarded the community bobbies so they all know me,my contact details, all have a key to get in and know where the kettle is,also forced them to attend the EGM

Insisted the bobbies patrol the site at random hours

indentified the rat runs aka where they get in,and reinforced the railings

made friends with the neighbours, indeed, one of them heard noises and called the police,11 of them got apprehended YAY!

emailed the council re getting a new higher railing and will continue to harangue them till its done

voiced my concerns at the next NSALG meeting

when the going gets tough, the tough go digging

Could you pass by our site too ;D

Our sheds have been broken into several times this year including a few days before Christmas had to go up in the snow and try and fix shed with cold freezing fingers. My shed door is now difficult to close after further attempts, when I get time I'm going to have to take the door off again and realign it and put on new latches....the old one is now bent. They only stole my 'bath' siphon which I'd only used once it's a shame the contents of my small shed didn't fall on them and knock them unconscious...it's just about happened to me on occasions.

:(

Im really sorry to hear this elvis. Ours were done again this week. Ive lost count now, I think its  5 times in 6 weeks. It so disheartening when you dont look forward to going to the plot because of what you might find. Its great youre fighting back. Our committee basically just shrugs their shoulders and says theres nothing that can be done.
