i shall be in North Wales for a holiday, any gardens or kitchen gardens that anyone could recommend a visit to would be appreciated.

Both of the above gardens are lovely.  One of my fav places is
http://www.portmeirion-village.com/ We go at any time of the year, love it.
Take time to stop and smell the flowers.
