making holes in the leaves! Does anyone know what this might be and how to treat it? they are about the size of a pinhead.
2012 - Snow in February, non-stop rain till July. Blight and rot are rife. Thieving voles cause strife. But first runner beans and lots of greens. Follow an English allotment in urban France: http://roos-and-camembert.blogspot.com

Sounds like flea beetle which seems to be endemic to many allotment sites.

We tried various protective measures but have concluded that pak choy with or without holes tastes pretty much the same.

bu**er! Will they eat it all, or just make holes in the outer leaves? Funny how it doesn't seem to affect other brassicas???

They just seem to leave loads of little pin holes in the leaf. It can look quite drastic and seems to reduce the plants vigour when young. The RHS link suggests that they grow out of it, the plants not the beetles!
