Red marker thingy to map?

I've managed to add a Google map to the home page of my website, but is there any way I can add one of those red marker thingys to show where our allotments are as they are not actually named on the map?

Basically - go to google maps. UK version and click on My Maps.. You will need a google account but it is easy enough..

I suppose I've got to take the map off, put the marker on and embed it again - but I've got to remember how I embedded it in the first place!

I went ot mine last night to move it, which I found you can't do, How it works is you find the new place and click the hand that goes with you, that puts the arrow where you want it ,it pos up, then you have to click to  confirm the change at the bottom right.I ended up in the middle of the Atlantic ocean but it is at least closer to home than Hull !! Smashing site  by the way, I was extremely impressed XX Jeannine
