Just a decent dustpan wanted

This is such a trivial thing, very low tech, but driving me barmy.
I want to buy a decent dustpan, and don't seem to be able to track one down.
All the local supermarkets sell these cheapish plasticky sets, where the handle of the brush fits inside the handle of the dustpan for easy hanging.
The brushes on the dearer types are nice and sturdy, but the dustpans themselves seem flimsy, especially the handles. I keep breaking them.
I'm now the proud owner of 5 hand brushes and not one single decent dustpan.
I like the design that has a flexible strip at the front of the dustpan so you can get all the dirt into the pan, but can't find a sturdy pan with this type of strip.
Anyone had the same problem? Anyone got a type/supplier they can recommend?

One day I'll justify one of these

There are also these

You have slightly more defunct dustpans than me  :P

I've given up on dustpans.

Instead, I save out of date laminated notices and use those.  Because they are thin and quite firm (unlike me  ;)) it's possible to brush even the smallest things onto them.

I like the janitorial one that has a long handle brush and long handled dustpan, the pan has a very thin metal strip and picks up the last tiny bits, the pan also rocks so you can use it at different angles. Not to be confused with the Tesco plastic long handles set XX Jeannine

Gosh! I've had the same ones for over 30 years! I clearly don't use them enough.

Jenny, Betterware are very good for that sort of thing.
We bought one with a long handle for the kitchen it is excellent.
PM me if you cannot find a betterware agent i have one.

Thanks all for your replies. Plenty to look at there.
Have got a Betterware agent here so I will ask her Rosebud. Think that type of janitorial style may be for me Jeannine.
I do like the look of some of the flashier dustpans, I googled a bit, didn't know companies did designer pans, may have to save up  ;D
Not sure the Lakeland one would stand up to my heavy handedness manic but will have a look next time I'm working near their shop.
30 years has got to be a record grawc?? Bet its a metal one though.
