Van Meuwen Arrrrgggghhhhhhhhhh!

Its all my fault I know....

2 Months ago ordered 2 tree Peonies and some tree lilies, tree lilies duly arrived.

4 weeks ago one tree peony arrived, called them up, the other one has been despatched seperately should be with you tomorrow.

2 weeks ago, still no Tree Peony, called again, 'there had been a faulty batch so they all had to be recalled, have just been desptached again'.

Today, still no tree peony, called again, 'they were sent out on 22nd April, theres no record of you having chased the order, to be honest your probably too late to get it now' I recounted the previous phone call but it 'wasnt on the system'.  They assured me they would do their best but couldnt promise anything!!

Why do I get seduced by their glossy brochures  :'( :'(  Everytime I have oredred from them they have been a major headache.

I think their catalogue is the same as Parkers, nuff said ;).

Two years ago I ordered Blue Willow weeping rose from them.   When it bloomed it came out pink!!!  I sent them photos of it along with a complaint letter.   The very kindly sent my a replacement as well as letting me keep the original.   Last year the replacement also bloomed pink and neither so far shows any sign of "weeping".   I've still got the brochure with the picture in it of what the weeping rose should look like and neither of mine resemble it in the least.

Consequently I've removed VM from my favourites list on the internet.
