I'll hang on till about 2ish as well....

I had to queue for the first time in my life (Newcastle upon Tyne Central) but at least there was only about 40 in front of me.

Am shocked that some people were locked out and one polling station ran out of voting papers!!  How could that happen?

Jill

Yes, watching.  Just went to choir practice in a church next to a polling station.  Never seen queueing like that before.  Thankfully I voted earlier in the day.

Well, I am very disappointed.  The candidate I voted for (LibDem) is someone I know personally to be honest, hard-working and very involved in the local community.  She lost to the standing MP (Lab) who was front-page news in the expenses scandal.  He even increased his share of the votes.
Can't quite get my head around it at the moment.  :o

Never seen queueing like that before.

I've never seen our polling station so busy and the people manning it were amazed too.  It was good to see so many young people there too, almost a party atmosphere, definitely the most 'exciting' (not sure that is the right word but not had much sleep!) election I have known.

Disappointed labour did not get the thrashing they so rightly deserve. 8) 8)

how are these results fair if hundreds of people didn't get to vote, running out of voting slips, people not receiving polling cards cards etc it's all a bit of a farce isn't it.
thanks to Jeannine for keeping watch while we slept. how were the bears today!
