took a drive out to look at sheds today as i dont have one ive been looking at potting sheds as i have no room for a greehouse
saw a 8x6 for 700 quid :o a bit pricy but i will keep on looking at the moment i have a wall paper pasting table in the spare bedroom for germinating my seeds so hopefully this will suffice until other times i cant wait to start on the land im jumping and twitching ;D

Simply because of the sheer cost of new sheds...
Decided to build my own potting type shed , last year, half slopping glass
front, 3mts x 2.8mts, to fit the exact area I required it to sit...
Built out off 3 x 2 timber frame, T&G floor boards, Marine plywood lid.
Covered with ashfelt  fixed down with cold bitchumin...
Total cost about £200, give or take....a few bob...
Well worth while for 2 days work... :)

oH ! and not a nail used...all screws....should see me out.... ;) ;) ;)

Wow sounds good. They would probably get a lot more customers if they put their prices on the website!

Hello,
I built my own shed, using a framework and clad it with wood from old feather edge fencing panels, a door and double glazed window panels from the tip. The only thing that cost was the timber for the framework, the 8'x4' sheets for the floor & roof, roofing felt and the screws, all of which I got from B&Q. It is 2.2m x 2.2m and is sturdier than any you could buy off the peg unless you spend a fortune.

It did not take very long to build. :)

What about trying your local freecycle you'd be amazed what people give away.If not have a crack at building your own,we're fortunate on our site a local wood recyclers drop off all their unwanted wood and my OH and his mate have built/refubished loads of sheds for the cost of new felt :)

Have you got a Wicks store near you?   They have sheds starting at £121.29.

i use a 10 x 14 summerhouse as my shed it was free and its just the job i had to beef it up a bit to make it secure and board up the windows (use a car spot light and 2 car batteries hooked up to a solar panel) for light. its very secure we had some break ins but they never managed to get into mine (not from lack to trying tho) best free thing ive had.
