TIME TO WRAP THINGS UP

Following the wettest November on record, widespread frosts and isolated wintry showers are set to the hit the country.

Stephen Davenport, a forecaster with MeteoGroup, the weather arm of the Press Association, said it would be "noticeably colder".

"It's certainly going to be far more wintry than it has been," he said. "It will be fairly noticeably colder this weekend. It will be mostly dry with a few showers in East Anglia and the south east.

time to light your heaters and get the fleece out, winters on its way!!

It might be, up in the frozen wastelands of the north. It was like the first day of spring down here today. Sunglasses needed for driving, aircon on, birds singing, not a cloud in the sky. I will be listening for the cuckoo tomorrow ;)

Beautiful day here although not quite warm enough to turn the air con on (if I had it!!) but they have forecast frost tomorrow.
