Anyone out there

 Know if such a thing as  " Fridge type of bag" exists? you know that we could take away . You can plug it in to keep certain things cool & fresh.

I hope you do not think this is a stupid question. Only someone told me about this but i have never heard of it but would find it V.V. useful.

I know you can get a refrigerated cool box that can work on f*g lighter or mains if that's any help but don't know about the bag  try camping websites maybe?  :)

We have a few "cool bags". They are heavily insulated bags which zip up. Each time you use them you throw in a couple of those little ice packs that you keep in the freezer, just the same way you use cool boxes. We also have a hybrid cool box/bag which is a thin cool box within a strapped bag.
So they ARE available, I just can't remember where we got them all.  :( Try googling "coolbag".

I got mine from Halfords, expensive but it was on offer. Loverly fold up bag that spreads out and plugs in the cigarette lighter. She bungs the frozen food in it when she goes shopping and it is still good a gold when she gets home even after 4 hours once.

Look on Flea bay or a camping shop You will pick up a bargain thi time of year.

WE also bought one in Halford's and plugged it into the cig. lighter in the back of the car. We drove through France, Italy and back with cold drinks all the way.... wonderful.

Good point. I have a huge battery in the pick up and my son cut in a plug when he wired up the van  for towing, it has a little gadget that stops a total drain, but I bet it would do the battery in with her little corso.

I've got an Outwell one from Go Outdoors... runs on 12 volt and came with a mains adapter.... useful as the fridge in my bus/camper has problems on 12V that I haven't been able to sort out.... I run it up for a couple of hours on the mains to get cold then it will run on the car lighter for a while ... don't leave it on it for too long as will drain battery... had to use it overnight at glastonbury this year (I was working there) so had it running off the mains adapter in a well shaded bit and it was properly chilled, even got room-temp beer and cider chilled down in a couple of hours.... still prefer the gas fridge in the bus though, it is silent for starters..... you can get 3-way chilling coldboxes like this one that runs on mains, 12V and gas so good for big picnics and camping...
