Borlotti

This is what was delivered today.

Borlotti

We're going to pick up ours on Sunday (weather permitting).

Borlotti

Never had this before, so excuse me if I appear stupid, but it just looked like dry straw to me with a few poos in it.  Put some on my compost heap, and wore gloves whilst collecting it.  Must have come from a stable, is it good or not.

I suggest you do Eristic's bean test, just to make sure.

we had 16 tons delivered to our allotments last month, my beans are in but not up yet  :-\

It looks great - if you're going to thatch your shed.

You couldn't make it up!

MAY THE CORN BE WITH YOU.

We had three big heaps delivered free and people are rushing to get it.  Think I will give it a miss and wait for the Council compost.  :( :( :(  Got any good leaves lately.

It doesn't look too good, but if you didn't pay for it, don't look a gift horse in the mouth unless it's got the plague. Do a bean test, and if it turns out OK, cover it and then use it next spring. It would be ideal for mulching, and it's probably got plenty of horse pee in it.

I borrowed the pick up from work to go collect some tommorow, i got at least a ton maybee more completely free.

Hmmm think id better jetwash the back off before i take it back.
Im the gaffer in our house, the missus said i could be.

Don't forget to test your manure especially for beans and potatoes.
