As usual, growing carrots is very tricky for me, thsi year I had about 10 so getting better. However they came out...purple! and orange inside! yet I did not sow purple ones! Any idea why this might happen?
2012 - Snow in February, non-stop rain till July. Blight and rot are rife. Thieving voles cause strife. But first runner beans and lots of greens. Follow an English allotment in urban France: http://roos-and-camembert.blogspot.com

I sowed some carrots on the allotment and some in the garden on the same day at the beginning of August.  Both lots germinated and but I still have hundred of little seedlings in the allotment and fewer than 50 in the garden.   Pesky slugs.
