Hi  :)...I'm not sure where to post this but I've got tons and tons of well rotted horse manure if anyone wants some.
It's really good stuff, it's several years old and looks like peat.
If you'd like to collect a few bags or several lorry loads just give me a call first.

For myself I am an optimist - it does not seem to be much use being anything else.

My London bases are Swanley and Sidcup but am never there long enough to grow anything.  Perhaps I SHOULD move back ......  :P

Hi, we've still got tons of the gold stuff if anyone would like some :)

This year a lot of gardeners have had their crops ruined and their plots contaminated as a result of using manure contaminated with aminopyralid so we're not using manure uinless it's guaranteed to be safe.  Have you checked to make sure that your feed has not been sprayed with hormone herbicides?  Stacking the manure to rot doesn't inactivate the weedkiller unfortunately.

AFAIK aminopyralid was introduced in 2005, so I suppose it depends on what Leigh means by "several years old".

I am interested in this, as I drive quite near the stables on my way from East Sussex to help daughter with her Greenwich allotment.

I feel that Shannon Leigh Stables would have heard by now if their manure had damaged people's vegetables, and so would not still be offering it today.

I might try to pick some up tomorrow.....

I understand peoples concerns as I  have heard of this too.
But can truthfully say we have had no complaints only compliments.
Some people bring us their veg as a thankyou and it looks and tastes really nice :)
I only grow flowers myself but we do get lots of allotment growers come here :)

Hi
Wondering if anyone here used this and can report back on it's safety.
I've got some but am reluctant until my beans are more mature.
Thanks
