Just wanted to share my excitement. My Dad, who I have not seen for nearly 10 years, arrives from SA next week. He will be spending some time with me until Christmas by which time he hopes to settle nearby. I can't wait to see him but strangely I'm a little nervous too. He has never met either of my children so I expect it will be quite an emotional reunion. Roll on next week.  :D

Oh Jess, that is just wonderful!  I bet there are going to be a lot of tears shed when he arrives!  Enjoy him Jess, there is something very special about dads.

Pixie

Good luck Jess I don't blame you for being so nervous I think I would be too - I hope that your dad is everything you want him to be.

I agree with EJ about dads - I'm very lucky that my dad is so super and a hug from your dad makes the world seem better.

Jess, how has it gone with your dad? Tearful reunion?

How is he finding the weather here? Colder than at home I expect?

Jess,  How wonderful for you both.  It is natural to feel a little nervous, I expect he will be feeling the same. Sure once you see and talk to each other it will be fine.  Hope it goes well, it will be lovely to have a Dad living nearby.  Good luck!  I will be thinking of you.  :) busy_lizzie
