Is that Dartmouth Tim?  Amazing photo. I have seen them quite a few times, love watching them and Dartmouth was quite spectacular when I went, also Windermere.  I think because of the topography of the land it made it more exciting as you didn't know which way they were coming from, they just appeared over the hills.

Thanks for reminding me Tim. :)

Ps Going to take my Mum to see the BoB monument next month so she can see her family on it.  Thanks.

I see them quite a lot practicing with the smoke in the Retford area, i went to RAF Waddington earlier this year and they were the BEST display team of all the ones from all over the world that were there, and i also make the pilots foot step, engine flexiducts and tail bumpers for the hawk jets, we even make special red footsteps just for the arrows.
you may be a king or a little street sweeper but sooner or later you dance with de reaper.

I've always loved watching the Red Arrows ,I've never flown in my life but anything flying fascinates me.We used to be fortunate that the owners of the Weston pier used to pay for a display annually but alas no pier no display :(Am I the only strange person to get emotional when these chaps fly past?I get all tearful, EVERY time ::)
sanity is overated

You're not alone, Macmac, even this photo made me fill up.  Watched the BoB flypast at the Rolls-Royce rally a couple of years ago, and howled.  I've no services connections to blame, either.

Have seen the Red Arrows many times in Devon  --  over the River Dart and Torbay,

Living 268mls above sea level over the bay, I decided to climb a local hill with my GS amber,

Silent as the grave up there as we waited,  instinct made me turn around  --  and there they were,

coming at me - silent as an owl, all of them !    --  they swooped down into the bay and the roar

of them followed  --  just burst into tears and I will never forget it,

  Yes - I'm prejudiced !!
