ThomsonAS

Spinach, gooseberries and half a punnet of strawberries (not wild alpines and not planted by me - they've just been there on a bank for five years and suddenly, this year, they've gone from producing a few small berries to something approaching a crop or large berries. When I've TRIED to  raise bought plants I've not succeeded - must be a lesson there somewhere about letting nature get on with it sometimes! I never had the heart to clear them away (couldn't think of anything better!) and suddenly an unexpected reward!

cornykev

New potatoes, onions with mushrooms and steak.    ;D

2012 - Snow in February, non-stop rain till July. Blight and rot are rife. Thieving voles cause strife. But first runner beans and lots of greens. Follow an English allotment in urban France: http://roos-and-camembert.blogspot.com
