They will freeze, podded or whole...  :-\

tim

Was just going to say NO to freezing, because their essence is crispness.

I bow to Dad's comment!

We freeze the excess for using in stirfries and soups. As Tim said they do lose their crispness but not the taste. We steamed some today and they were ok for an extra veg.
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

Let them grow to full size peas, allow a few to dry out for planting next year.

You can never have too many peas in the freezer. A few can go into almost any savoury dish.

I lost  half of those I planted to the bloomin mice the other half the slugs got, then I need the space for something else.

Gonna start them off in loo roll holders at home next year and make sure they are a good size before I plant out.

I have the same problem! ;D

Have frozen loads, and also have been using them with broad beans as a salad, or chucked into a green salad, cook for 2 mins, then chill immediately to keep them crisp.

Did thai chicken curry and threw loads of them in that too! (Could make up batches and then freeze)

You could also make wine with them I would presume.

There is a web site called recipezaar.  Open up the recipe sifter and then choose ingredients then search on peas and you will find there are 7635 recipes for peas.

Tried one for Zucchini and Carrots Bread (cake).  OH likes it very much.

By the way a broiler is a grill and a skillet is a frying pan.  I just could not grasp why I should put my zucchini with cheese on top into a battery farmed chicken and wait for the cheese to melt. ;D ;D ;D
