Few days away.

Going to be a long day tomorrow, leaving at 3am for our trip to France, Late husband's Great Niece is getting married. I am travelling with son and D.I.L, Grandson and partner in their own car. We sail from Portsmouth to Caen then have about 220 miles to our destination. Hope to meet up with sister-in-law and family mid evening. The wedding is being held at a Chateau on Saturday where we will also be spending  Saturday night, not far to "roll" to our beds ;D
Returning home late Monday night. Have completed all my jobs so I am having a quiet afternoon, glad I am not doing the driving!!

Have a great trip... sounds deep south.. Bordeaux ish so don't over do it with the local vintage...  ;D

PS I'm dead jealous... that first trip into a French Hypermarket to get cheese/bread/wine/beer after a long drive through France was my idea of heaven...  ;D

Thanks folk. Saddad it is in the Vendee area. Em was expecting her first child at my husband's (Charlie) funeral and when she had a boy she named him after my husband. That was 6 years ago, I have only seen Charlie once as they moved to France shortly after. They bought a derelict barn and turned it in to their home so I am excited to see that, they are having a family BBQ in their grounds on Sunday. Should be fun.

Thank you. Yes Mary all being well will see you mid/end July. Will ask John to take some pics I always cut people's heads off :) Planning to go to bed at 10pm read for an hour then get 3 hours sleep. "See" you all on Tuesday,
