I think they might. There were several feral cats in our village & the CPL caught them & they were spayed or castrated & then freed.

As feral cats are not indigenous to the UK, this would be an illegal act (section 14 of the Wildlife & Countryside Act I believe ?)

shotgun may help......................    ;D
Personally I think this the kinder option if they are truly feral and not just 1st generation feral as I believe they are in this case.

Thanks everyone for your helpful replies since my last "thanks everyone for your helpful replies" post!

Just to give you an update .....

The cat rescue place that someone contacted couldn't help because they have no room.

I saw what I believe to be the mother cat the other day, a long way away
from the area behind the pavilion where the kittens were.  She had a kitten with her, following her through the long grass.

There is one black kitten in the compound behind the pavilion.  I bought some kitten food and feed it every morning, Mr.11Cats feeds it in the afternoon.  We haven't seen the other kittens, or the mother cat in the compound so it seems as though the black kitten is on its own there.

I put the food down, then hide behind a fence and watch for it to come and eat, it doesn't take long for it to go to the food.  I leave fresh water too.

It looks as though nature has taken its course with three of the kittens, they haven't been seen for about a week now.   :(
