I have bought a pumpkin plant from Homebase, but one of the leaves has gone brown and withered. The leaf looks dead, so I snapped it off.

One of the other leaves seems to be going the same way.

The rest of the plant looks fairly healthy.

It is currently in my shaded mini-greenhouse.

What could be the problem?

Were they the seed leaves?  :-\

N, they are full sized plants now. The plant is about 7" high.

I'll post a picture tomorrow if that would help?

do you have a max-min thermometer in there?, sounds like they are either frying or freezing, the cuticle of the leaf is being damaged by something!! ;)
You couldn't make it up!

I'd go with what Tonybloke is saying, it's probably something to do with being too hot then too cold for them in the mini greenhouse.  mine are all in 5 to 7" pots indoors in a sunny room and won't start being harden off for a couple of weeks yet

cosmos ther cucabits and dont like getting watered from above presume you have watered from the roots if still in a pot if this is the case would sugest if in a Shaded portable greenhouse not enough heat as they were bought from Hombase this says to me they have been in doors and average temp would have been about 21 degrees putting them in the shaded gereenhouse has shocked the plant will need to be moved to a warmer sunnier spot and hardened off again before planting out or will suffer once outside
