tom problem

This is a strange one, ive got 2 tomatoe plants in regular grow bags, growing fine, not a problem. 2 more in organic growbags with no peat, 2 almost dead. i think they can be saved but im a bit stuck on what to do?

regarding the bags, i have been reading around and there seems to be quite a few problems with growbags/compost this year from B&Q.

Oh dear,I just bought a bag of B&Q peat-free with added John Innes today- haven't opened it yet.
Quite a lot of the peat-free stuff dries out quicker than the stuff with peat, maybe you just need to water them more often?

ive been trying that, but it over waters them then, ive took the out now and transplanted them into some big pots with normal compost until i find a solution.

I must admit I always find the peat free stuff is really tricky to keep hydrated. It seems to dry out completely within a few hours on a warm day.  Have you tried some tomato feed?

yeah even feed, thats why ive took them out, let them have the chance why i still can, im gonna prepare my greenhouse bed tomorrow with a load of compost plus some growmore stuff and bung them straight into the soil. its ashame cos my others are growing fine in there bag
