Hi,

I have a water butt with a 22mm hole in it. What can I use to seal it? Does anyone know of any plumbing  or hose attachment that I can attach to block it?  My butt hole is a clean cut.

Thanks

Don't use anything water-based, depending on how deep it is you could consider some petroleum jelly?

stick a wine cork in it (from the inside)  ;)
You couldn't make it up!

I would use a fibre glass patch then put plumers putty ofer that would make it water tight

22mm is a standard plumbing size for cistern overflows, so you could bung a capped PVC pipe on it for a posh job? But cheaper still, find a bath plug of the right size and Araldite or seal it in (preferably from the inside). If all else fails, stick a patch of rubber sheet (eg an old inner tube) on it with sealant from the inside. Water pressure will help keep it watertight.
