Can anyone help please?

I have recently started using the Firefox browser. Generaly i am happy with Firefox, as it is a faster browser than I have previously used (MSN Explorer). Recently though I have experinced problems opening some webpages, predominantly music playing ones. Instead of the page i get the HTML script. I dont think there is a problem with the websites concerned as I can access them fine (albeit more slowly) on MSN Explorer.

I was wondering if there was any settings that need to be adjusted in/on the browser to enable it to display these pages properly.

I know this is a bit vague, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks

PS I am on broadband with AOL 9 if this helps.

either
1) the web page isnt written correctly ( ie in accordance with the worldwide web consortium  standards) and the browser isnt recognising it correctly

or
2) the browser doesnt recognise what  has been sent . Go to
http://validator.w3.org/
and put in the page that you  are having the problem with and see what it says - then tell the writer what they have got wrong!

Post  a bit of the text that appears and we can have a  look

btw http://blog.monstuff.com/archives/000150.html has a list of some of the additional stuff you can add to firefox if you wish.

Tried what you suggested. Did not seem to help.

Thanks anyway for your help.

What is the page address, and I'll have a look.

Unfortunately, Microsoft does not adhere to standards with Internet Explorer, so some pages may not look correct with other browsers, but I don't think I've ever come accross one that does not work at all.

Cheers

Dan, thanks but the probelm with Firefox isnt an issue any more. What i do have is a much wider problem with my internet, centered around internet explorer which i am trying to sort out. I think i am going to have to get it looked at by someone ' in person'.

Thanks for the offer of help anyway, much appreciated.
