Took advantage of the lovely sunshine today and paid our first visit to Wentworth Castle near Barnsley.

Can really recommend it. The gardens were packedwith primroses, daffodils and hellebores, among others, with camellias, magnloias and rhodies to follow soon. They are doing a brilliant retoration job on the various buildings and follies and for anyone with kids there's a great playground.

it looks lovely Caroline, although we can't take the dogs in the gardens, there is a long walk in the parklands, and not to far from us.............cheers  will definitely check it out    ;)

Yes, we did the garden trail today but plan to go back and do the parkland trail another time.
