All stems from age, regettably. Bottom cupboard is difficult to access. When I get down it's a pain to get up again.

So - before ordering Green Peppercorns at the best price I could find, I could have done a better search.
I was SURE I had some.

Yes - today, there was a 250g bag from Spiceworld at £6.49 inc. And a fresh tin of dry Mustard that I gave up on yesterday!!

Later - back in business.

you shouldn't be so hard on yourself the times I found things lurking at the back of the cupboard  :D

So what on the menu today you food always looks very tasty and delicious ;D

Ah well, look on the bright side. Better to live in plenty than to go short. :)
You'll have to find some recipes that use a lot of green peppercorns!

tim

Since you ask, lola -

Reduced-for-quick-sale Pork Tenderloin - with Noodles & Sauce (Button Mushrooms, Peppers, Spring Onions, Garlic, Parsley, Thyme, Cornflour, Sherry Vinegar, Stock).   + Braised celery.

I suspected that sort of thing creeps up on us if we survive long enough. That's why in our new kitchen there are ONLY DRAWERS, and only corner cupboards with revolving shelves.

Hey, Tim, I'm only 56, but I hate getting on my knees!

Hey Tim, how many extras can you fit round the table for that scrumptious lunch, i can be there for 2 pm, Hahaha!!.

lolabelle

rosebud can you pick me up on the way  I'm ready when you are ...looks fantastic as usual tim, may have added a little star anise myself!

tim

Too late!

That looks very nice Tim, Lolabelle, we missed out on Sunday lunch :(.

Is this a great idea for a new invention?

One of those kneeling pads with a tight spring so that when we want to get up we press the button and it bounces us back up again?

lolabelle

you could call the contraption a zebadee ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

hellohelenhere

I'm only a spring chicken of 43, but I already find that the ground is getting harder to reach...  :-[  - and I say that after an afternoon of digging, which called for a very hot bath and a little snooze to recover!!

hellohelenhere

Here's a recipe that requires *two tablespoons* of green peppercorns! Sounds scrummy!

If you search on 'green peppercorns', they come up with 9 recipes in total.

Lost and found theory I have developed is. When there is something you can not find. You wait until you lose/misplace something else.

Then whilst you are looking for the second lost object/item, you find the first one.

My second consideration was the development of the proposed zebadee invention. After a brief think, I was almost there with the idea. Then realised the problem was that our knees are the wrong way round for kneeling.

lolabelle

no zebadee after the chap with a spring , in magic roundabout  ;D ;D

First post since my knee replacement op. I can't even get down at all! Or sit on my computer chair for more than five minutes at a time - still too stiff and painful. But last year I decided all this bending lark was getting too much for me anyway so I had all my cupboards fitted out with pull-out baskets. It has made a tremendous difference to me.

tim

Might try just that!!

Who did them?

tricia

Unfortunately, mine came from MFI who have since gone bust, but I bought one basket for a friend from these people:

Hope this helps........
