Is anyone aware of there being any prpblems with internet explorer (IE) at the moment.  Posibly in the form of a virus or 'worm' that is preventing it displaying web pages.

This is in part related to my other thread on AOL problems.  AOL software is based on IE, and neither browser is working properly. I can though access pages using MSN Explorer which is seperate from IE.

I would be gratefull for any feedback on this

Richard,

I'm not aware of anything at the moment. Are they the same pages you are having problems with, or is it random pages ?

When you use Explorer to browse, do you still connect via AOL, or do you use a different ISP?

Try a different browser, http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/ is excellent, the web will even appear faster !

Let me know.

Dan, Thanks for your reply.

It is ALL webpages. At first i thought it was my ISP (AOL) but they say its a problem with IE.

Will try suggested alternative and let you know.

Thanks Again

Dan, Now tried the browser you suggested. So far so good. Many thanks. Much faster than MSN Explorer (which is slow even on broadband).

Am also trying out Netscape explorer. Again looks good.
