I read that I need special flour for cakes, but can Strong or Very Strong be used for most else?
I have a surplus.

i use whatever flour for sauces-and i have used strong flour for sweet scones and potato scones...

We use only one type of flour - 00 grade Italian flour.  Good for everythinng. :) :) :) :)
