At work I've found a few of those water cooler containers, no one wants them and I got to wondering what they could be used for.

To small and heavy for water storage but there must be a use for them. I guess they could be cut down and turned into clouches but i use drinks bottles which are easier to handle.

Any suggestions? ???

I'm sure there was a discussion on here, last year, I don't know if search could help, we cut down demijohns to make cloches, they don't blow over easily  :)

With the tops off, these make great cloches.

I tried last year to get hold of these... much like hens teeth  :'(

I use them for cloches too~ especially when I planting out vegetables such as courgettes, butternut squash etc...
There used to be a water firm near by and I used to go to the depot and ask them for damaged bottles. I cant get them now because the water company has to be accountable for recycling all their bottles and was told I couldn't have the damaged ones. They are also so much harder to come buy because the huge deposit firms have to pay on the bottles. The other bad new is that many companies are now going over to plumbed in filtered water on tap ! :(
