If you are a newbie then you are probably looking for some advice to help get you going in your first season and A4A is a forum that may help with particular questions.

However, if you are looking for some general advice then the wiki section of A4A includes links to a selected number of web sites that were created and are maintained by experienced plot holders who are regular contributors to the A4A forums. These sites contain much useful information for newbies.

Click on the wiki button at the top of the page (or the following link ...

... to get the wiki main page and then click on the "For Newbies" topic.

Additional links can be added to this wiki page at any time. If you do not feel comfortable using wiki let me have the details and I will add it for you.

PS This is the second occasion that I have posted this item. I have asked our illustrious leader Dan if it can be made a sticky topic on the Basics board. The lack of a response presumably means that he is not enamoured of the idea. So I will probably periodically pump it between now and spring so that it pops up at the top of the board now and again.

I'll bump it up now then...  ::)

Can only think that Dan's too busy. It's what I have been banging on about for ages.

I agree it would be an excellent idea to have this as a sticky topic on Basics.  And hats off to those who maintain the wiki.  I have to admit I have been idle on this front.

just pumping it, as I promised to do, so that it goes back to the top of the board for a short while.

I'm ashamed to say, I'd never even noticed the wiki button at the top!  :o  Good idea though.
What I lack in ability and experience, I make up for in sheer enthusiasm!!!
