I had some garlic in the kitchen that was starting to sprout, so planted it in a tray in the lean-to, about ten days ago; it's growing like mad, I really must transfer it into pots today before the roots get stunted.

Mine isn't showing yet  >:(

I suspect it depends on the variety. I planted three varieties in mid-October.  The short dormancy variety (Germadour)  started coming through strongly about two weeks ago. The long dormancy varieties (Arno, Moraluz) aren't showing yet.

I checked on mine yesterday (planted in late October), and interestingly, the 'Marco' variety that I saved from this years bulbs are all showing and about 5" high....the others bought in this year are much more patchy. Fresher cloves do you think, or just more suited to the environment? ???
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

Didn't  you check mine for me as well Deb?  ::)

Planted mine out today, I hope it's as happy outside as it was in the lean-to. It's in a deep plastic pot-holder tray that I nabbed from Homebase. It was rooting beautifully.
