[Tee Gee]

As an anglo scot of over forty years it was lovely to see these scenes of the Trossachs again.

When I was a teenager I camped on the sides of Loch Lubnaig and bathed in possibly that same river you captured in spate.

Your pictures do have that autumnal look about them and had you taken the same views in June/ July they would have looked different again as the light levels would have altered.

Talking of the infamous 'midge' reminded me of what we used to call them and that was' Flying Teeth'

Going on the ferocity of the bite it gave and its size, it must have consisted of 95% teeth and the rest other body parts.

I was up in Edinburgh last year and I took these picture in the Botanical gardens and formed the sequence in a way to give you the 'circular tour', I hope you enjoy them;

Enjoyed your slide show.  I have an annual visit to the Botanics in Edinburgh but because of poor weather this year did not manage.  I enjoy visiting there and in fact enjoy it more than Kew.  I was at Kew Gardens last year and I was disappointed.  Thanks for sharing.

Your mention of midges reminds me of the night I spent sleeping out on Rannoch Moor in 1974. It was a very wet summer - so wet I nearly got cut off by a flash flood in the Lost Valley off Glencoe, where there's normally just a dry stream bed. That night I was being eaten alive. I had  a massive plastic bag with me as an emergency bivvy, and I crawled into that to keep the buggers off. It was soaking wet inside from the condensation, but it was better than being devoured. There were so many of the horrible things crawling over it that I could literally hear them moving.

I visited the gardens this year for the first time  - this is quite shocking as I grew up in Edinburgh !!!
What a beautiful and peaceful place - Will definately be visiting more often.
