i think the no dig method is great i even have a book on lasagna gardening but i haven't really been able to practice it properly as sourcing all the material to coincede at the same time has been a bit challenging :-\.

I think I'll be having an interesting selection of approaches in my garden. Certainly aiming to have a layered, no-dig bed, now Star has explained it; will have stuff over-wintering in containers; perhaps a 'three sisters' planting next spring; might end up with no conventional beds at all, depending on how the existing soil is. Having no car makes it more challenging to bring materials that I need for building up the beds, but I don't think that will stop me...
