Big batches can be a problem with timing & leaching of flavour. That's a 12 pint pressure cooker.

I find that heating to 5lb pressure & then allowing to cool gives perfect results every time.

Tim I just cannot get on with Chard,  I am obviously doing something wrong because I love spinach! and chard is so much better behaved in winter just wish I could like the stuff.  I'm veggie and am supposed to like this sort of veg ::)

Try puréed with white or béchamel sauce & Mace?

Try making spannakopita - a Greek pasty-like thing filled with spinach and feta cheese and herbs and garlic and.....   It's lovely, and tastes quite different from a pile of boiled chard (which I like anyway).

My favourite way of eating chard is to steam it until cooked~layer it in a dish with sliced cooked potatoes ~gruyere cheese( a little nutmeg sprinkled on the cheese) finishing with a layer of more cheese. Place in the oven Gas mark 5 until heated through and the cheese has melted~~~its yummy!! Of course you can use whatever cheese you like.

My husband has recently been diagnosed type 2 diabetic, he loves homemade soup - so far courgette, butternut squash and sweet potato.  Can you make a swiss chard soup, this is my glut crop at the moment? Any other advice would be gratefully received. Thanks...

But the purée is almost soup?
