.....& give in as I did, when the whole 'house was hit by Powdery Mildew. I thought it was a drought influenced disease but we've had no dry days, have we!

Thinking it was my fault, in having too damp an environment, I just gave up, instead of looking for a solution. Until today.

Probably too late, but worth a go. It's now much worse than the photo.

Not used it meself Tim, but seem to recall Bert next door happily watering same on his onions and possibly goosgogs ?

Yes Tim give it a try, it wont cure it but it may prevent the mildew worsening. I have used milk for mildew with some effect ;)
I was born with nothing and have most of it left.

'Twas done first thing this am.

It's now hit the small greenhouse - the Parsley has it all over & the soil in the grow bags has it!

it worked a little for me last year. GQT recommend bicarb on it's own, but it doesn't work without the washing up liquid as a wetting agent (and they aren't allowed to recommend that)

also it does damage the leaves, but hopefully damages the mildew more

worked better for me with the cukes in the GH, than for squashes outdoors

Now I think of it, I've used Bicarb on cukes, but not in the mix suggested.
