Hello, have a big tub of nettles covered in water.  When I stir this cauldron, it smells.  So do I use this liquid neat or diluted?  If so, what ratio.  Can the resultant liquid be watered OVER plants (all plants), or just the roots.

Thanks in advance.

When you stir it does it still create bubbles?

If yes,its not ready yet....when the bubbles stop forming it is.....someone will say different though, thats the beauty of this site  ;D

Defo not neat,it needs to be diluted 1 in 10

I also read that comfrey leaves does the same job, so am growing some. How do I use these? Same way?

Thanks ;)

I dont believe you have to put the comfrey in water.....just in a covered container with a weight on top of the comfrey. It will rot down and make a "soup".

This will need diluting about 1 in 10 too.

I agree with all of the above with one small word of warning. Comfrey liquid stinks to high heaven. What ever you are imagining now, it smells 50 times worse!

It does work wonders though and would also be best diluted approx 10:1

I use comfrey, I have a pipe that I fill with leaves and weighted. the liquid comes out the bottom and in many ways is better than tomotorite etc. search for comfrey pipe and I think you will find it on here.
