Allotment Shows

Gorgeous here in the North West today. Went to Marlborough Road Allotments, Daveyhulme this afternoon. Lots of lovely plants for sale and a kind of car bootish sale of all sorts to boost the funds. They have flushing loo's and a great polytunnel where they grow their plants for sale. Well impressed.

Had a wander around the plots and chatted to people enjoying the day. Perfect Sunday afternoon entertainment!

Reminded me how much I miss my plot tho... :'(

wonder if that was the reason for people wandering on to our plots yesterday, was it national open day for allotments?..we kept getting groups of people asking what we were selling  ???
told them we could sell them a cuppa and a biscuit  ;D

It is National Allotments week isn't it? Surely if your committee were having an Open Day you would have been informed?
