Off to Dorset tomorrow.Me ,Jim ,Belle dog and Jillie dog.

Been so busy with exams and gardening work hardly had chance to think about it.We booked it in January.

We are going to a place called Golden Acres. They market to people with dogs.It a small complex of bungalows on the coast and they have their own doggy beach. They actually say there is nothing there for children.

Looking forward to the cliff walks and plenty of pub meals and drinks. :)

Meanwhile the tumble dryer is still whirring as cant make up my mind how many clothes we will need for a fortnight.

No internet access so I will miss A4A ;D

have a lovely time, don't forget your winter woolies  ;D
no, seriously, relax and enjoy yourself, I've ordered good weather for the next fortnight down there, my daughter and her family are off down south tomorrow  ;D

Have a fantastic time and I hope the weather is kind to you. I think it's great to find somewhere that actually discourages you from taking children! Cliff walks and pub lunches sounds ideal. Let us know what it's like when you get back and any recommendations you have.

Life is to short !!!

Happy holidays!

Re the clothes.  Be sure to pack for all four seasons.  Based on 'summer' so far, it's a dead cert!

ACE

Blimey don't some people live dangerously. You might get a glimpse of this beautiful Island from some parts of Dorset. Don't be tempted into a day trip it is full of gobby yachties and yellow wellies this time of year. I shall be passing through Dorset a few time next week. I will not stop as they still stone missionaries in some parts. OOH ARRR!

have a great holiday.
No lovely sound of children's laughter then betula? Are children forbidden to visit or is it just a suggestion that there isn't enough child friendly places/activities?

betula

No Lorna they are not forbidden they just say on the web site there is nothing there for children.

I suppose they mean no entertainment or pool etc.

I do not mind the children particularly but I must admit we had a lodge in the new forest last year and it was child city, after bringing up three of my own I prefer a more restful environment now. :)

Hi

Have a wonderful time, Dorset is a beautiful county, we have had many happy holidays there, and when the weather is bad inland it can still be nice on the coast.  Gets a lot of the same weather as Ace!

Take care

T.
