thought I might finally post some pics of my jungle! It is starting to take shape although a bit of a tidy up is still needed (almost finished the main sowing/planting so it will now be weeding, pruning time!!)
Here is the 3 sisters plot with pumpkin, sweetcorn from English seeds and Coco de Paimpol beans:

and this is a view of the whole plot - you can see that it's small compared to some of you! it stops at the compost bin.

it has changed a lot in 2 weeks: that messy patch on the left (onions) is now all dug up and full of cabbage, sprouts and PSB and the blue tarp is now almost completely rolled back and full of bean seedlings and leeks (60!).
A friend of mine visited the plot and when he saw how big it was he just shook his head and said "hmm in fact you are completely mental, aren't you?" as no one can believe that I would launch myself into producing my own vegetables, since the most my friends will do is stick a cherry tomato plant on their balcony  ;D ;D ;D
still at least I am not ashamed to show you how messy it is!
Just a reminder of how it looked when I started it in January 2007 (same view):

2012 - Snow in February, non-stop rain till July. Blight and rot are rife. Thieving voles cause strife. But first runner beans and lots of greens. Follow an English allotment in urban France: http://roos-and-camembert.blogspot.com
