I regularly report 24 different varieties of birds to the BTO weekly.  but it goes up to 25 when I get the Bullfinches.  ;D  I off course get the pheasants, red legged partridges, yellow hammers and tree sparrows because I am rural. I am looking forward to the day when I get a Nuthatch.  They have turned up in the Borders in recent years and hopefully will move to my garden.

I'm getting through 2 kilos of seed and 2 kilos of peanuts a week.  Plus bread and cheese.  Have a flock of feral pigeons.  One has a bad leg, so we call him Limpy.  Another is very dark with white wing tips called Double U.  They recognise OH's car, I'm sure!  Altogether we've had 24 different species of bird in our garden.  I go to the local pet shop and ask for 'the usual'.  The pigeons have their main feeding area in the middle of the garden.  They (18 of them) wait on the house roof.  I have another area in a shady area which I sprinkle seed/nuts on when, hopefully the pigeons aren't looking.
