Yeah, I'm into the games too.  Bejewelled Blitz is the one, though I'm now addicted to Jungle Jewels which is much faster.  ::) ::) ::) ::)

Real timewasters, these games.

I'm more than a bit of a scrabble addict on there, lol.

Garden Manager

Dont know if it was moment of madness or what but to 'celebrate' the new year i decided to join Facebook. Never been interested before but decided to see what all the fuss was about. I have to say i like what i have found. i have today discovered the A4All group on there.

Cant work out who is who though - i don't recognise any names!

I would agree though that it would be a good alternative to the main site when it happens to be down for maintenance or whatever. Cant see it actually replacing A4all itself though, although from what i hear other forums have decamped to facebook so who knows?

manicscousers

is it the allotments group?
I've only found 3 sites and none are allotments4all group ???

grawrc

Log on to facebook and in the search box type allotments4all - that should find it for you.

manicscousers

Although I resisted it for a long time, I do like Facebook, especially now I'm in a different town to all the friends I've made over the last 15 years. Can't see this forum working on a facebook basis though-the boards are too complex for the FB discussion boards and A4A just so great.  ;D

Things I hate about FB: people who fish on their staus updates- "Sally McNally is sooooooo annoyed" then people comment "Oh why" etc...yawn.
People who add you purely for the numbers-an old school friend requested me but put no personal message. I thought, well, what's the point?  If you can't even be bothered to say hi then sod off!  ;D
People who put mysterious comments aimed at someone they are rowing with "Well, what goes around comes around and some people better remember who their friends are" etc...
It reminds you why you didn't  keep in touch with all your school mates in the first place!
Don't throw paper away. There is no away.

I wouldn't like to keep in touch with any of them  ;D

With you on this one Mat

Twoflower re posting pics on Facebook - yeah dead simple

BarriedaleNick

Not a lot really mat - although you can always "friend" some A4A'ers if that takes your fancy!

Twoflower - goto the group - click the photo tab - click on add group photos - you then have the option to add photos from any facebook albums or upload direct to the group (probably the later?) - Click on the upload photos tab - click the browse button - pick a photo from your PC - press upload.   Dont worry about size too much as Facebook will resize them for you.  I just uploaded a pic of my plot!

What have I done!  ::)
I've long resisted joining Facebook but after some gentle persuasion I've finally become a member!
It was inevitable I suppose...said shaking my head as I go to the kitchen to make a cup of tea!
I guess that it'll be Twitter next!  :)
Flighty's plot,  http://flightplot.wordpress.com,  is my blog.
