Best way is to taste them. If your eyes roll and your bum twitches they're hot, if your eyes don't meet and you can still sit on your seat then they're sweet  :o

Seriously, I just went and looked at mine and other than the label I can't see a difference so I guess you'll just need to see when they grow.
Tony.

Sow it, grow it, eat it.

the first leaves on chillies tend to be slightly smaller and not as wide
(the germinating leaves)
thought if they are any bigger i would not know how
i hope this helps

Wey-hey! Been there, done that, washed and ironed the T-shirt!

I agree with Trinity - the first leaves are narrower, more spear-like on chillies.

Good luck!

;D

I am always doing things like that and end up 'borrowing' plants in pots from neighbours to compare with mine to do an ID check.

I am not sure if this would work but it does with some plants.

Crush a leaf with your fingers then touch your tongue, the taste might tell you something.

Rub a leaf and smell - tomatoes give off a pretty distinctive aroma.

That only works if you want to tell the difference between a tomato and a pepper  ::)

Oops - less haste more speed.... :-[

I see no difference in the leaves on mine.
