Deb P - I know, it's so frustrating these 2 next to us are completely overgrown, our lottie neighbours told us that the bloke who had them hasn't been down there for 3 years!! The trouble is that there isn't a waiting list on our site so people can get away with it. The lady at the council is lovely, but some people always have an excuse ready. The 2 plots on the other side of us are just as bad, the same woman has them both, we never see her either.

Now, dig, dig, dig, dig, dig!!!

Good for you... I didnt know how addictive digging and making up raised beds are until I got started. Im glad Im not the only one who gets excited about digging and seeds. This site has been a real eye openr for me... enjoy it ladies  :) ;) ;D

Fantastic! I got a second 5 poles plot next to mine earlier this year too - it had 6ft weeds on it last year. I nearly had a heart attack when the council man said that the plot holder had decided to come back (after intimating it could be mine...). Happily he negotiated for him to give up 5 poles and keep 10. I feel a bit (not too much) guilty as he left lots of compost and a largely destoned allotment under the weeds.

Enjoy - I am still really excited about having the extra. Have gone mad with potatoes though (well I have the space now....)

We have been told that as long as there is a waiting list then no household in our area will get a second plot...... My in-laws are now on the waiting list ;)
