OK, I am going to have a go at attaching some pictures of things, forgive me if they don't work. This should be of a pepper I grew!

[Later] Hmm, must be too big. Will try some shrinking powder.

OK a b it skewiff but at least it is there...

Let's try another one - my first potato harvest, ever!!

Going backwards in time now... and experimenting to see if I can de-fuzzy the pictures.

This is the allotment a few months ago when I was earthing up the potatoes!

And last but not least, my overwintered onions drying off in the back garden.

Sorry for the "fuzziness" but my digi pix are so huge that when I shrink them they go mega speckly!

Hey Tenuse well done with your pictures. I only learned this week with a lot of help from Palustris.
Your veggies look great. Cheers Rosebud. ;D

You mastered veggie growing, you mastered pictures posting, what more could one want?
Really nice pictures of really nice veggies. Thanks!

Palustris

Just out of interest, what are you using to 'shrink' your photos? I have had problems with fuzziness doing it the other way ie enlarging, but not making smaller.

Excellent pics Ten!  Adore your pepper and am seriously jealous as mine are about the size of a pin at the moment!  Keep them coming now!  ;D

Tenuse

Hee hee the pepper is now turning yellow, how exciting, and I have one plant with 6 babies on! I still can't believe that you put things in the ground and they grow....!!!!!!!!

Palustris, I take my pictures using a fairly standard digital camera, then they get saved to my computer. Using the standard viewer they are huge in size terms, 6mb or something like that. The only way I have found to "shrink" them is to open them up in Microsoft Photo Editor and use the resize option and then change the number of colours down from "lots" to "not quite so many" (can't remember the bit size!) This gets them to just under 200k which is the size limit for attaching piccies here.

However shrinking them makes them go pixellated, I will be trying a few other ways to see if I can get them to come out clear, I might even upload them to a website and see if I can do it that way.

Now that I have got the hang of it I will be posting piccies galore!!

Right, that is why they are so fuzzy then. May I suggest you download Photomanager from Hpphoto.com? Using the resize image facility on there reduces the size of the image easily.
I also use Adobe Photoshop to do the same thing when I have just one or two shots to change. There are other image manipulation prgrams which do the same thing, but I have not used others.
Have fun!

Great photos Ten and excellent allotment.  You have done well with your produce.  It is good to see what other people are doing.  Must try to master the photo thing a bit more as it is good to share successes (or even failures).  Looks as though you have a really nice plot.  :D busy_lizzie

Thanks B-L, it is still not fully under production, only a third of it has been cleared! But we are pressing on!

Palustris, thank you for the recommendations, I shall have a go at de-fuzzying later!

What I don't understand Ten is that you are digging in "White" trousers and "Pale blue" top. How on earth do you keep clean?  I am afraid I must be a very messy worker, and come home from my lottie a real "mucky pup".  Your'e looking very neat.   ;D busy_lizzie

Well done with the piccies Ten - great :D  Dead envious of your pepper - mine never seem to turn, just start going black if I don't pick them when they are green.

I too use HP Photomanager for resizing my pics - dead easy to use.
Happy gardening all...........Pat

Hi B-L, that was just a quick pop up to the lottie to earth up the potatoes and water before going off out somewhere, the normal look is much more like the one where I am in the dreadful stripey top that is my "allotment" top as it is loose and cool when hot, with soil on my glasses and in my nails and brambles in my hair!!!

Gardengirl, there are some peppers that turn black when they are ripe. Mine is turning a nice yellow now!!

Thanks for that Ten - I thought they were going bad - will be more patient next time ::) :)
