I started my Sunflowers off inside and they are just getting their second set of leaves. They range between 1 and 4 inches tall.

When would be the right time to plant them outside?

My windowsill is getting pretty full and I need the space but don't want to put them outside too early and I haven't a clue with this weather.

just watch out for slugs, they don't half like sunflowers  ;D

Don't you find it amazing how the slugs just love the sunflowers you have tenderly looked after BUT the ones that the birds drop grow tall & strong.

I'm starting mine this week, apart from the 2 I've found growing outside in the frost and snow, I've potted them on, just watch, they'll die now  :o ;D
