I'd better let you know when the figs on our fig tree are ripe and then you can come and eat them straight off the tree, Jeanine!

Jeannine

Georgie that is really funny!!!

Tin shed you are on...but I dread to think what the next day would bring.

My fif is very young, it had 5 little tiny figs on right now, left from last year I guess.

I think the beetroot thing dates back to school dinners-the nasty little chunks made my mash pink :o
Love all fruit, fresh ,dried, crystalised etc.
give me ginger any way you like.
Smile, it confuses people.

Jeannine

I love roast lamb with mint sauce (well anything with mint sauce), marmite, marmalade, crumpets and roasties.  Oh and sprouts (dipped in marmite).

I loathe peppers (thanks to my mums vegetarian "phase" where she made me eat them and I was sick), lentils (why would I want to eat gravel?), avocado and olives.
What I lack in ability and experience, I make up for in sheer enthusiasm!!!

Tin Shed

OK Jeanine, you are on.  We could always have a plate of cockles from Old Leigh to start off with!

Roast lamb with mint sauce is my favourite  roast with beetroot of course.

I am not in to the cockles , rather spoiled with the US ones which are 4 inches across,  UK onesmake OK chowder though if fresh.

I really miss clam digging and being able to make proper clam chowder.. mm might just have a go with tinned clams tomorrow though as I am craving now
